Terms of service
The basis on which we quote, book and carry out journeys.
To the business owner: a working draft. The payment, advance and cancellation sections are deliberately left for you to complete with your real terms, and you should have the whole document checked before launch. Do not publish terms you do not intend to follow.
Quotations
Fares quoted are for the journey described in your enquiry. A quotation states what is included. Changes to the route, dates, passenger numbers, waiting time or additional stops may change the fare, and we will tell you if that happens rather than adding it silently at the end.
Bookings
A booking is confirmed when we have acknowledged it and provided vehicle and driver details. Vehicles are subject to availability. Where a specific vehicle is unavailable we will offer an equivalent or better alternative, or the option to cancel.
Payment and cancellation
Owner: insert your real terms here — advance percentage, accepted payment methods, and your cancellation and refund policy with actual timeframes. Travellers committing to a long mountain journey will look for this, and its absence costs bookings.
Road conditions, delays and events outside our control
Journeys in the Kumaon Himalaya are subject to conditions no operator controls: landslides, road closures, snow, weather, traffic restrictions imposed by the district administration, strikes and administrative decisions. Journey times given anywhere on this website are estimates in normal conditions and are not guarantees. Where a route becomes unsafe or impassable we will discuss alternatives with you, and we would rather move a journey than run one we believe is unsafe.
Permits and restricted areas
Travel to Inner Line areas including the Vyas Valley, Gunji, Kalapani, Nabhidhang and Jolingkong requires a permit issued by the district administration. Permits are granted at the discretion of that authority and may be suspended, restricted or refused. We can assist with the process where we are able to, but we cannot guarantee that a permit will be issued, that the route will be open, or that a journey will be able to proceed. Travel arrangements for this route should not be treated as certain until permits are in hand and the route is confirmed open.
Health and altitude
Parts of the Adi Kailash and Om Parvat route reach altitudes at which acute mountain sickness is common. We are a road transport operator and not a medical service. Nothing on this website is medical advice. Travellers with heart, lung or blood-pressure conditions, and those who are pregnant, should consult their own doctor before undertaking high-altitude travel. Passengers travel on the basis that they have satisfied themselves as to their own fitness for the journey.
Travel information on this website
Route, permit and destination information here is published in good faith and reviewed periodically, with the review date shown on each page. Conditions in the mountains change, and information that was accurate when written may not be accurate when you read it. Confirm anything that matters with the relevant authority before travelling. Where we could not verify something, we have said so on the page rather than guessing.
Passenger conduct and luggage
Luggage capacity is limited by vehicle and is stated when you book. Where the luggage presented substantially exceeds what was declared, a larger vehicle may be required at additional cost, or some items may not be able to travel.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, with jurisdiction in the courts of Uttarakhand.
